Facilitator
Debra Denzer has been involved with the Kohler Experiential Learning Center for 14 years. Here, she has played a role in designing and delivering experiential learning opportunities for individuals, groups and organizations. She is passionate about creating a learning environment where people can grow, develop and gain insight into the impact each individual has on his or her surroundings, emotionally and physically. Debra's education has taught her to observe and understand key interactions from a system's perspective.
Debra's educational experiences include a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in biological aspects of conservation. She also has several certifications: NAI-Interpretive Guide (interpnet.com), Nonprofit Management, Basic Accounting and Advanced Grant Writing (University of Wisconsin - Sheboygan) and American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED. She has also completed extensive training on managing a challenge course trough Adventure Based Experiential Education (ABEE).
Debra is currently the Executive Director of the Bookworm Gardens, a children's botanical garden inspired by children's literature. She has also volunteered for Sheboygan County Audubon Society, Maywood Environmental Center and the Outdoor Skills Center as well as serving as an educator of children at both Maywood and the Outdoor Skills Center.
Debra's interests include lampworking, music, bird-watching, reading, gardening, outdoor camping and other adventures.
